It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not
the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given
us the right to a fair trial, and it is the soldier----who salutes the flag, who serves the flag and
whose coffin is draped by the flag-----who allows the protester to burn the flag.

This is my wonderful husband/hero, SGT Kenji Yamauchi, we
got married July 05 then he deployed to Iraq in Sept. 05 with
the 913th Engineer Co. out of Union City TN. We spent our
first year of marriage apart but it made us stronger than ever.
He was injured on Aug. 1 06 by a roadside bomb. I'm very
thankful he was able to come home to me and our 3 year old
son. Unfortunately, his driver was not. My prayers go out to
every family of the soldiers out there. I am so proud of my
husband and i love him more than anything.

Love,
your wifey, Adrienne
and son, Izak

currently serving in his second deployment in Iraq.  He is
