It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not
the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given
us the right to a fair trial, and it is the soldier----who salutes the flag, who serves the flag and
whose coffin is draped by the flag-----who allows the protester to burn the flag.

be deploying to Iraq in mid January 2008 for his second tour to
Iraq. He will deploy to Iraq with a unit out of Chicago, IL these
men are strong and brave and some of the best representation
of true men that I have seen in long time.  Go Fox 4 Battalion
Bastards!!! Justin has been with the Marine Corps for 4 years
so far.  I miss him dearly as we just got married on May 12,
2007.  This man is my personal role model, hero, best friend
and truly the best husband a girl could ask for.  Justin I love you
and your family loves you too.  We all wish you a save return.
Your boots are still by the garage door and Cosmo sniffs them
from time to time.  Your laundry is still not done as I sneak
some of your shirts out of there to smell but they will be clean
upon your return.  Can't wait for you to come home safe with
your fellow marines!!! I LOVE YOU AND AM SO PROUD TO BE
YOUR WIFE!!!

THIS IS MY HUSBAND OF MORE THAN 20 YEARS.
HE HAS DEDICATED HIS LIFE TO THE ARMY AND HIS
FAMILY.
SFC STEPHEN SELVAGE IS MY BEST FRIEND. WE ARE
STATIONED HERE IN SOUTHERN GERMANY AND HE IS
CURRENTLY SERVING HIS 2ND TOUR IN IRAQ.
THIS DEPLOYMENT SEEMS TO BE HARDER TO DEAL WITH
BEING 15 MONTHS LONG THIS TIME.
OUR OLDEST HAS ALWAYS WANTED TO FOLLOW IN HIS
DAD'S FOOTSTEPS IN JOINING THE MILITARY. IT WASN'T
TILL THE LAST IRAQ TOUR WHEN 1ST ID WENT INTO
FALLUJA AND CAME OUT WINNERS. THAT IS WHEN HE
DECIDED ON THE ARMY. HE IS CURRENTLY AT FT. LEE, VA
DOING THE SAME MOS AS HIS FATHER. WHAT A GREAT
COMPLIMENT.

I'd have to say that my hero is my boyfriend, SPC Bobby
Johnson
.  He is currently serving in Iraq.  He is a wonderful
daddy, son, brother, friend and so many other things.  Bobby
served from Sept. 05 through Sept. 06 and redeployed in Sept.
07 for 15 months.

We found out 8 days after our wedding that Clark was going to
be deployed to Baghdad, Iraq.  We cried, sucked it up, and
drove on.  He is an army man first...everything else is second.
I'm so very proud of him & miss him with all my heart.  I know
I'm one of the fortunate ones because 65 more days, & my
husband will be home!  My heart goes out to all that do not
come home.. May God Bless You & Thank YOU!

Mrs. Clark S. Magee

I would have to say that my hero is my fiance Jeremy
Christopher Lechuga
he is reciently a new daddy of a
gorgeous baby boy, Jeremy was deployed In the begining of
July 2007 and will return home April 24 2008 Im really looking
forward for him to come home. He is a strong person and
loves video games, thats why I think he joined the military
cause he gets to play with gadgets, he loves to look at his son
over the webcam. Keep your prayers for him and ill keep mine
for every single other person overseas. God bless!
