It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not
the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given
us the right to a fair trial, and it is the soldier----who salutes the flag, who serves the flag and
whose coffin is draped by the flag-----who allows the protester to burn the flag.

This is my hero, My Brave daughter, SPC Holly McGeogh.
She was very proud to serve her country and loved the
Army. She believed in what she was doing. Holly was
stationed in Tikrit Iraq with the 4th Infantry Division for
almost a year when she was killed. Holly was a light
wheeled mechanic. She volunteered to drive to Kirkuk
Iraq and pick up parts. Holly's vehicle was the last vehicle
in the convoy. When she drove over the IED the
insurgents detonated it. Holly and the other two soldiers
in her vehicle were all killed. I Miss my daughter so very
much and I am so very proud of her.

My Brave Little Soldier

This is my husband SPC MURILLO ARMANDO.  He is
currently serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He will be
deployed from Sept 29, 2006 until, well, its unknown.
He;s a father of three (Yoel 2, Ailany 1, & Esai, 6 mos).
He's a wonderful husband and a loving friend.  I miss
him very much and I pray that he comes home safe.  It
doesn't matter if its not in one piece, as long as he still
breathes.  We got married Sept 9, 2004 and I hope that
he can be back in time for our third anniversary.  If he
can't then I know it's for a good cause. For all the other
military wives who also cry themselves to sleep, know
that you ain't alone.  And for my soldier, my husband, my
world.  I love you and I miss you and I'm desperately
awaiting the day you come home love of mine.

YOUR LOVIN WIFE

Spc Frederick Andrew Carlson IV worked as a member of
the 228 FSB Quick Reation Force in TQ, Iraq. He was a
brilliant soldier who lived each day to make a difference in the
world. He loved to make people laugh and have a good time
regardless of the situation. He faced all of the tasks put upon
him with a brave face and the determination to see them
accomplished. He was known to his friends as Fredro,
CMoney, Freddy P, C-MO, Meat, Freddy Projects, C$, and
Savage Freddy. He died 25Mar06 in Al Taqqadum (TQ), Iraq
from a heart attack. At his memorial in TQ, Iraq, his
roommate, team member and friend, Giancarlo Osario spoke
out about the night before his passing, he said that Freddy
turned to him and said "If I died tomorrow, no one would
remember me." Well Freddy,  EVERYONE REMEMBERS YOU!!

He is survived by his father, Frederick Andrew Carlson III, his
mother, Ann Marie Carlson, his sister, Brianna Carlson, his
son, Frederick Andrew Carlson V, his son's mother, Christina

last 14 months in Iraq with the 172nd SBCT and we
expect him return home before the New Year.  It has

left Rayne and I welcomed our second baby girl,
Cadence Freedom, to the family.  He was able to spent
two wonderful weeks with us when she was 4 months
old.  We can't wait to have our Hero back in our arms!!.
My Husband, My Soldier, My hero...May God Bless him

SPC
Jeffrey Switzer
.  Jeff is the love of my life and my soul
mate I don't know what I would do if I ever lost him.  Jeff is
currently serving his country in Iraq for the first time.  This
has been the hardest thing we have all went through in
our lives.  He is the most caring , loving, and devoted
father I have ever met in my life.  Jeff made a video for us
before he left for Iraq saying many kind and heart felt
words, Jeff said to us that he was not afraid to die but he
was afraid to leave his family without a husband and a
father.  God is watching over us!!  We love you Jeff with all
of our heart and soul!!  Love, Nicole, Alissa, Zach, and
Dorian

Here is another photo of our hero.  SPC Christopher D.

is a medic serving with the 1-66 AR, 1st BCT 4ID in
Iraq.  Darling baby boy, we are more proud of you than we
can ever express in words.  This year without you has
been hard, and we can't wait to see you, to hug you and
hold you and tell you everything that happened while you
were gone.  It seems like it's been a lifetime since you
left.  I know we promised not to cry, but all bets are off
when we finally see you!  The porch light is on, your boots
are still by the door, your bed is made, and we can't wait
for you to get home.  You are still and always in our
prayers.
Love,
Mom, Sam, and Amanda

This is my hero and husband, PFC. Christopher Pingley.
Chris has been deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom
since August 2006. It feels as though we were thrust into
the Army life! My husband joined the Army in September
2005 and from basic he went straight to AIT at Ft. Gordon,
GA. Once he graduated AIT he was given orders to
deploy so it has been one crazy ride! During all of this I
gave birth to our first son together on Oct. 2. Chris was
unable to make it home but he did get to meet his son on
his 2 week R&R this month. I am very happy that we are
almost half way through this deployment! I can't wait to
have my husband and best friend back home with me
and our son! I love you baby!

This is our HERO SPC JACQUELYN HESPEN who is

arrived at the airport and we were there to greet her.
Including her baby daughter Jocelyn!! We cant wait for her
to arrive back home!!! She truly is everyone's hero!!!  WE
